The temple can be reached by a winding <strong>stairway<\/strong> or by road, making it accessible to both pedestrians and vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And also, it is located about <strong>94 km away from Colombo<\/strong>, which takes approximately <strong>2.5 to 3 hours by car<\/strong>. The <strong>giant Buddha statue<\/strong> at the site was constructed under the guidance of <strong>local Buddhist monks and the support of devotees and philanthropists<\/strong> from the region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While there isn&#8217;t a single well-documented individual credited with its construction, the temple was developed with the backing of <strong>government authorities, local organizations, and Buddhist religious leaders<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>massive Buddha statue<\/strong> was erected to symbolize peace and provide a sacred space for Buddhist worshippers.
